Safety 1st Driving Academy Regulations
In order to qualify for the MA State issued Drivers Education Certificate, students must successfully complete:
- 30 Hours of Classroom Instruction
- Score of 80% or higher on a written Final Exam
- 12 Hours of On-Road Driving
- 6 Hours of Observation Time (to be scheduled along with your first 6 driving lessons)
- 2 Hour mandatory Parent/Guardian Class*
- MINIMUM 40 hours of Practice On-Road Driving at Home
*The 2 hour parent/guardian class is a MA registry requirement, if you have already completed this requirement, please provide a copy of your Certiciate of Attendance which is valid for 5 years. It is mandatory that the parent/guardian class be completed prior to the student's first on-road lesson.
